Tess Denman-Cleaver is a producer, programmer and artist working across performance, writing, workshops and installation. 

She is a Programme Manager (Participation & Young People) at New Writing North and works as the Producer of Women Artists of the North East Library.

She previously worked as Producer (Artists’ Moving Image) at Tyneside Cinema where she delivered the Projections programme (2017-2020). Tess was Artistic Director of Tender Buttons between 2010-2018 and Programmer for The Northern Charter between 2015-2018.

Tess has a PhD on philosophy and landscape in performance practice. Her academic publications are available online here.
